WHAT WE DO

counselling

Counselling is a time and a space for you to feel heard and to be understood. It's a conversation with someone who really listens to you, takes what you say seriously and doesn’t judge you.

It might feel strange at first, talking about your feelings with someone you don’t know, but Centre 33 counsellors are trained to listen to young people with an open mind and let you take things at your own pace.

Counselling at Centre 33

When you have counselling at Centre 33, you will be allocated to a counsellor who will provide six sessions of 50 minutes at the same time each week.

This is a space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings with a trained professional who will be able to support you in a confidential and non-judgmental way.

If you are nervous about what counselling sessions might be like, our FAQ section below might give you the answers you're looking for.

We also offer counselling in some schools - you can find out more here:  counselling in schools.

WHY get help?

manage emotions and feelings

Counselling sessions can help you find ways to manage emotions and feelings that might be affecting your life. Counselling is about helping you to work things out for yourself, celebrating your strengths and supporting you to look at things differently.

a different perspective

Speaking with somebody outside of your network can give a different perspective and empower you to share your difficulties and find where you may be stuck. It can really help you to feel better about yourself.
