Volunteer With us
Volunteers are the backbone of Centre 33, allowing us to make a difference in the lives of young people every day. There are plenty of ways to get involved.
why volunteers are so important

celebrating our volunteers
Meet Darren - a volunteer Information Worker at our Peterborough hub, Darren is the friendly face behind the reception desk, welcoming young people and assisting with their enquiries. From making cups of tea to providing vital support to our team, Darren goes above and beyond.
"On retirement I started to look for opportunities to spend my time in a useful and positive way. Centre 33 appealed to me as a local organisation working to support mental health and wellbeing," he said.
"The feeling that in some very small way I help to support the availability of the service is incredibly rewarding. I also appreciate having been welcomed into a very friendly and positive team."

The Counsellor position at Centre 33 offers a rewarding opportunity to volunteer within our established counselling team. We welcome both qualified and trainee counsellors to work alongside our Mental Health team, providing essential support to young people aged 13 to 25.
Currently, we do not have any openings, but please check this page for future updates.
Please note that all applicants must adhere to our safeguarding policies and undergo a new DBS check.
We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our Young Carers Service at Centre 33. Volunteers will assist with our fortnightly online Zoom groups for primary-aged young carers across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, as well as occasional face-to-face community-based sessions.
These groups aim to reduce the sense of isolation that young carers often feel, provide them with a break from their caring responsibilities, and foster relationships with peers, project staff, and fellow volunteers.
Volunteers will work alongside group coordinators to deliver a range of fun online activities and create engaging, varied experiences for young carers.
